Iker Lasa Ojanguren
Iker Lasa Ojanguren graduated in Physics from the University of the Basque Country (09/2013-03/2018). He obtained a master’s degree in “Mathematical Research, Statistical Modeling, and Programming” from the University of the Basque Country in 2019 (2018-2019), and a “Full-time MSc. degree in Data Analytics” from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, in 2020 (2019-2020). During this time, he also joined Ormazabal’s data analysis team as a part-time data scientist, completing both master’s degrees with thesis projects in collaboration with the company. These projects focused on the identification of electric consumer connectivity, designing algorithms based on smart electric meter data while utilizing combinatorial optimization techniques. From September 2020 to November 2023, his dedication was full-time at the company. Since December 2023, he has been working in Tecnalia’s Digital Unit, specifically in Data & Computation group. His research area involves leveraging language models to enhance and automate software engineering processes.
